Worried About Nothing

The Dr at the Huntsman Center called me back on Monday this week. He said his pathologist looked at the biopsy slides and everything is normal. It's what they call a collision mole. Pretty much it's just a mole that is on top of another mole. So that's why the biopsy came back abnormal. So everything is fine. I decided I needed to find another dermatologist because the one I have now freaked me out for no reason. I know she was just covering her bases but the way she told me I had to go to a specialist was not good. She needed to explain to me that she thinks it's probably nothing but just to be safe. Instead of saying you need to go to the huntsman cancer center in salt lake, they'll call you to schedule your appointment bye. Then make me panic for 2 weeks. Its all about communication. :)

I got the news back

This morning I got a call from my desensitized dermatologist. Her assistant called and told me the biopsy came back irregular. So she said they would like to send me to a specialist at the UofU. So I am trying to not panic. I just wonder why they need to send me to a specialist. When my sister in-laws mole came back irregular her Dr. cut out a little more of her skin to make sure they got it all and stitched her up. So why do I need to go to a specialist? Unless it's worse then we thought. I'm hoping maybe because it's on my face she's trying to be a little more careful so I don't have a huge scar for no reason. So I have my appointment on Monday. Hopefully everything will be fine. But I'll let you all know how it goes when I'm done.

Easter

This weekend Chris woke up with a really bad cold. He stayed in bed most of the weekend, trying to get better before work on Monday. So for Easter we really didn't do much of anything. I did however get the kids dressed so they didn't look homeless in the pictures.
Little Jack in the sweater vest Grandma Tokuhisa bought for him.

Sophia didn't want to sit still for a pic. What a surprise. So this is the best one I could get

We had an Easter egg hunt in our back yard. I was planning on doing it inside mainly because Chris and I hadn't gotten ready for the day and we were both in sweats, but when I told Chris to hide them I was specific. So we went outside in our jammies. Hopefully none of the neighbors saw us. She had so much fun getting all the eggs. She even would find some for Jack and put it in his basket (only the green and blue eggs of course). She was so sweet and thoughtful.

Jack loved his Easter basket. It was so fun to see him tare into everything. He loves his rattle and he can't get enough of the treats. He loves to eat.

I made little bunny rolls for dinner. Sophia loved them and I thought they turned out pretty cute

why are dr's so desensitized?

This week I went to a dermatologist to have a couple of moles looked at and to see why my skin is so messed up ever since I had Jack. She walks into the room says her name then starts pulling off my gown to look at all my moles. I don't even let Chris take my clothes off that fast. Then she says "you have rosacea there's nothing you can do about it, and the spot on your nose we're going to do a biopsy." She starts pulling out all of these sharp instruments and is about to stick a needle in my face without even explaining why she's doing all this. I started to panic. I start asking all these questions just so she doesn't poke me with the needle. I ask if I'll have a scar on my face. She says yes. I ask what could it be that you need to do a biopsy. She says some medical term then stabs me in the face with a needle. I left with a stitch in my nose and a bandaid on my face. When I got home Sophia said cute bandaid mom. She's so sweet. It made me feel a little better about my whole day

Last week Sophia had her first ballet recital. She was so cute. She's more of a stage performer then a dancer. When they walked off the stage all the little girls we're jumping around saying "We did it!!". I tried to post the video of it but it would upload. I'll try again another time

Her cousins Tayia and Joslyn. All week she could stop talking about how they were going to come and see her dance. She was so excited to see them after the show.

I tried to get a cute picture in her costume. This was the first picture I took then it all went down hill from there.

I guess these are cute just not what I pictured.

Very lady like

Sophia's Birthday

She got a Beauty dress for her birthday. She insisted on wearing it at her party the next day. I have now hidden it in the closet so she doesn't wear it everyday
We had a lot of great friends and family at her party she had so much fun

John Harker Magleby

August 25, 2010 we went to American Fork hopital at 7:00 in the morning. We checked in and got all set up in a room. 8:00 they started me on petosin (however you spell it). Then the Dr came in and broke my water. After that we just sat and watched TV and waited. I wanted to see how long I could go without and epidural. The contractions started to really hurt so I gave in not much longer and got one. After I got it I started to get really tired. So I told Chris I was going to take a nap, But then the nurse came in and asked if I was feeling ok because my blood pressure had dropped. That's why I was so tired. So she stopped the petosin to let it normalize. Right after she did that I started to feel a lot of pressure so I paged her and she came in a checked me and said he was right there and not to push while they paged the dr. So at 11:00 the Dr showed up and I gave one big push and he was here. It happened so fast the Chris got a little light headed and needed to sit down. Our little Jack was finally here. He weighed 7lbs 8oz.

The Baby's Room

I've finally finished the baby's room. I painted all the furniture, painted the wall blue, sewed the baby bedding, sewed pillows, and mod podged the letters for Mr Magleby. Yes it says Mr Magleby. We're not finalizing the name until he gets here. So Chris thought it would be cute to put up Mr Magleby instead of his name.

Early this year I did Sophia's room. I never posted pictures so here it is. Her little princess room. There are still things I need to do to it but I just love her bed and so does she.

My Birthday

So I know my birthday was in May but Chris did the cutest thing that I haven't posted yet. I came home and this was on our table. He got me deliciouse chocolate cupcakes and carrot cake from The Chocolate. They were really good

This is the birthday card that him and Sophia made. My favorite thing that happened was when I was opening my presents. Sophia was telling me what they had gotten me before I opened it. She kept telling me they got me a green princess dress. Luckily the picture on the bag had a girl with a green dress on it so I didn't realize what she was telling me. I guess she's at that age where she doesn't know what a secret is yet.

Mexico Need I Say More

The first week in March Chris and I went to Playa Del Carmen. It was perfect timing. After the move and me having morning sickness we needed a get away with the just 2 of us. This was the view from our condo. If anyone is thinking of going there I recommend staying here.

This was our private roof top. Heidi and Danny made a little bed out of the hammock. They took a nap up there everyday. I need one of these at my house.

Chris loved his giant mexican cokes

This was an empty beach we found after driving for like 2 hours because the boys didn't want to stop until they found the perfect beach. It was really pretty but I don't know if it was worth that long of a drive.

My Princess... Well Maybe a Homeless Princess

So I was sitting at the computer checking my email while Sophia ate her breakfast, when she noticed the camera and wanted to take a cheese as she puts it. So I got the camera out and took a picture of her. She was smiling so hard that the Japanese in her came out. After I took it of course she had to see it for herself. So I showed it to her. She got so excited and squealed "Oh look princess!". Yes she thinks she's a princess. Even though she just woke up and is still in her PJ's to her she looks like a princess. Oh and about the nightgown. She only wants to wear that every night and all day. I have to trick into wearing something else.

Valetine's Day

For Sophia's Preschool class I had to make Valentine's for all the kids and Ms Melissa. Well since this was her first valentines ever I had to make it a big deal. So I made these little boxes for each of the kids. Then I put a baby cake from The Chocolate inside. It was really cute and really delicious. I just wanted to brag a little. I was proud of myself since I'm not crafty at all

Christmas Better Late Then Never

So as most of you know we moved to a new house in January and because of that and the craziness of Christmas I've slacked on updating our blog. But I have the Internet now and I'm going to try to catch up. So here's our Christmas in a nutshell.

The kick off to the Christmas season. The day after Thanksgiving we put up our tree. Sophia was a big help fluffing the tree.

She loves all the glittery ones. They eventually were all moved to the top of the tree after a couple ornaments broke
Her Great Grandma got her that. It's a toy that teaches the alphabet and a little Japanese. But she thinks it's her personal computer. She calls it her puter. When we're on the computer she'll sit next to us and pretend to work.

She didn't know why she was sticking her hand in there.

She's so excited she's shaking

She didn't want to go near her bike at first. But after I forced her to get on it she loved it. Not quite the reaction I was expecting. But she liked it eventually

Loves her lip gloss. What a girl
It's her favorite book "No David". I love her little smile
This is from her Uncle Shim and Aunt Lisa. She laid there and drew all morning. Then Chris and I played with it. It's fun to draw on!

She loves to draw and color. She couldn't pull it out from under the tree fast enough.

Forgive me for I have sinned

So I haven't blogged for over a year and a half. And what I've blogged before that isn't much. So I am turning over a new leaf. I am going to figure out how to do all this and actually have a real blog. So all you people who keep giving me crap for how bad my blog is you can stop. And if you have any pointers on how to do this let me know. What started this revelation is that I am sick of sitting around while Chris watches a Jazz game every other night. So I decided I'm going to figure out how to do this. I was actually reading Melissa's blog and it inspired me. So Thank you!

This is our family. We took this picture with the timer on our camera. Not bad huh?

This is our baby girl Sophia! She was born October 15, 2007, she weighed 7 lbs, and was 23 inches long. Isn't she the cutest thing ever? Well we think she is.
